Adding a Color to
the Palette of Minitab Release 13
We begin with the following screen.
To summon the Attributes bar,
double click the window containing the item whose color you wish to
change. (Here we will change the bright yellow disc to a
soft green.) You have:
Next click the item. You have the item
(here, the disc) encompassed by dots.
We first change the fill of the disc.
To do this, we click the lower color icon in the
Attributes bar to obtain the current palette.
All of the colors above the horizontal
line of the palette are the colors preselected for Minitab; those
below are colors that have been added. Click the "Custom" arrowhead
at the bottom of the palette. You obtain the Color dialog
box.
Click that "Custom colors" box where
you want the new color to appear. Here, we select the third box of
the second row. Note the square that appears about the box.
Next, drag the crosshairs in the large
spectral box to the desired color. Note the "Color/Solid" box
provides the current color at the preset luminescence.
Next, drag the arrowhead to the right
of the narrow luminescence spectrum to select the desired
luminescence.
Then click the Add to Custom Colors
button. You have:
Then click the OK button to obtain:
To change the outer perimeter of the
disc, click the upper color icon of the Attributes bar to
obtain:
Note that the new green color appears
in the bottom half of the color palette. This new green has been
permanently added to the custom-colors section of the palette and
will appear there whenever the palette is summoned in your current
or subsequent Minitab projects (that is, until you change it). Below
is the result after clicking the new color.
